"Like all artists, I am always in search of inspiration. It's like a breath of fresh air. It could be a deep color or an unusual pattern on a butterfly's wings, glimpses of turquoise from the sea and sky, even the scent of evening roses when the sun sets over the horizon and all the fragrances are revealed. Inspiration can come from reading Gospel stories, contemplating paintings by great masters, icons with mosaics and frescoes, or simply being in another country with an ancient culture, history, and architecture."
